Abstract
The article focuses on the perception of capitalism among Millennials and Generation Z and their understanding of its historical impact. Topics include the historical prevalence of poverty before the rise of capitalist economies, the overall improvement in global living standards and life expectancy due to market economies, and the data from the Maddison Project that illustrates the significant growth in real GDP per capita over the last two centuries.
