Abstract
The article focuses on recent developments in telecommunications and digital infrastructure across the Asia Pacific region. Myriota is advancing satellite-enabled Internet of Things (IoT) solutions in Malaysia to support remote monitoring and align with national digital goals. In Papua New Guinea, Digicel PNG has partnered with the National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) to deploy 4G services in rural areas to bridge the digital divide. Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Indus Cloud have formed a strategic partnership to deliver Huawei Cloud stack services, enhancing cloud infrastructure for enterprises and government clients. In the Philippines, ST Telemedia Global Data Centers (STT GDC) has secured a 40MW renewable energy supply deal with MPower to power its data centers, while Globe Telecom joined the Candle Cable System consortium to expand submarine cable connectivity across Asia, supporting growing data demands from 5G and AI technologies.
