Abstract
The article analyzes how the tracking of children's clothing by fashion brands implicates the enforcement of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Topics discussed include right of parents to control their child's privacy and safety as well as the family's personal information with the rise of smart technology, COPPA enforcement in modern cases, COPPA issues pertinent to the smart apparel industry, and proposed solution to reform COPPA's geolocation data tracking regulations.
