Abstract
A recent report from the Innovation and Development Centre of Lisbon (CIDNUR) explores the impact of nursing handover on nurses' mental health. The scoping review included 11 studies from various countries and revealed that nursing handovers can lead to negative emotions such as stress and anxiety, but also provide peer support and a sense of control. The findings emphasize the importance of standardized handover procedures and comprehensive training programs to support nurses' well-being and improve patient care. Future research should focus on measuring the impact of different handover practices on nurses' mental health. [Extracted from the article]
