Abstract
A recent analysis of online job postings in the United States has found that remote work opportunities are increasingly favoring highly paid and highly educated individuals. The study reveals that lower-paid workers, such as front-line staff, are less likely to have the option to work from home. This divide in remote work opportunities has grown significantly since 2019 and could potentially impact morale and fairness in the workforce. The study suggests that managers should acknowledge this divide, align working arrangements between managers and front-line staff, consider alternative forms of flexibility, and potentially offer pay adjustments to compensate for the unequal benefits of remote work.
