Abstract

This study is focused on synthesizing calcium oxide nanoparticles (CaO NPs) using Acalypha indica leaf extract in an eco-friendly way. CaO NPs s obtained were characterized by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared, X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy studies. Their antibacterial activity was screened using the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. Results confirmed the significant antibacterial activity of CaO Nps against various strains of bacteria like Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi, and Escherichia coli.
