Abstract

The article discusses a study by Davis and colleagues, published in the issue, on public health policies regulating sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) between 2014 and 2023 across state, local, and tribal jurisdictions in the U.S. Topics include a key element of the inventory, requirements for warning labels to become successfully enacted on a widespread basis according to their data, and reason that industry opposes SSB warning labels and acts to delay these policies.
