Abstract
A recent study conducted by researchers from Universidad Catolica del Maule in Chile analyzed the use of statistical graphs in textbooks for rural multigrade education. The study found that bar charts were the most commonly used type of graph, and that activities focused on calculation and personal context. However, the study also recommended the incorporation of other types of graphs recommended by the Ministry of Education, as well as the inclusion of evaluative activities that encourage reflection on the nature of the data and its representation. The study's findings highlight the need for improvements in the design and content of textbooks used in rural multigrade education in Chile. [Extracted from the article]
