Abstract

Researchers from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nurnberg (FAU) have conducted studies on brain preservation and cryonics through the lens of moral psychology. The research suggests that public reluctance towards these techniques may stem from quick, affect-laden moral intuitions. The study proposes an alternative framing of these techniques using a thought experiment called 'Schrödinger's chrono-cat' to foster public discourse. The research has been peer-reviewed and published in Neuroethics, offering insights into the ethical considerations surrounding brain preservation and cryonics. [Extracted from the article]
