Abstract
The article focuses on recent developments in 5G network infrastructure partnerships and technology deployments involving Nokia, Spark New Zealand, and Zain Iraq. Nokia has been selected by Spark New Zealand as the majority 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) partner to expand and consolidate Spark’s 4G and 5G infrastructure across key cities, utilizing Nokia’s AirScale portfolio and energy-efficient ReefShark System-on-Chip technology to improve network capacity, coverage, and operational efficiency. Additionally, Nokia entered a three-year partnership with Zain Iraq to upgrade its southern network with advanced microwave (MW) technology, including E-band solutions, to increase capacity and modernize infrastructure in response to rising data demand. Both partnerships emphasize enhancing network performance, scalability, and cost efficiencies to support future growth and next-generation services.
