Abstract
This article focuses on the development and outcomes of a peer prereview (PPR) service provided by the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology (CPP) section of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) to support manuscript review before journal submission. Since its inception in 2011, the CPP PPR service has offered comprehensive manuscript feedback and mentorship through a junior reviewer program, resulting in 64% of reviewed manuscripts being accepted or published in peer-reviewed journals with impact factors ranging from 0.915 to 9.296. Surveys indicate high satisfaction among both authors and reviewers, with the service enhancing publication success and reviewer development. The article suggests that this PPR model could be adapted by other professional organizations or institutions to improve scholarly publication outcomes and foster professional growth.
