Abstract

Scientists have used underwater drones to observe marine life beneath the sea ice at Bunger Hills in East Antarctica, discovering a thriving ecosystem previously undocumented. This research is part of a broader campaign to study the Denman Glacier, one of the fastest-melting glaciers in East Antarctica. After completing their research, the team at Bunger Hills will pack up their camps and fully remediate the site to minimize environmental impact. [Extracted from the article]
