Abstract
Wireless charging for electric cars is becoming closer to reality as multiple startups work towards making it mainstream. The technology uses magnetic resonance and a charging pad to generate a power-transmitting field, similar to wireless phone charging. However, there are still hurdles to overcome, such as slow charging speeds and the need for infrastructure and car manufacturers' involvement. Despite these challenges, pilot projects are being conducted, and companies like WiTricity are planning to roll out wireless charging systems for electric vehicles. Standardization and advancements in autonomous driving technology could further drive the adoption of wireless charging in the future. [Extracted from the article]
