Abstract

Americans spent a record amount of their TV time streaming movies and TV shows in June, with Netflix experiencing the largest increase in market share. Streaming viewership increased by 6% from May, while traditional broadcasting and cable saw declines. Netflix's success was attributed to popular shows like "Bridgerton" and "Your Honor." Other streaming platforms, including Disney+, Tubi, and Max, also saw double-digit growth. Overall TV viewing increased for the first time since January, likely due to children being out of school for the summer. Walt Disney Co.'s ABC had the most-watched broadcast shows, including the NBA Finals and the CNN Presidential Debate. [Extracted from the article]
