Abstract
The article focuses on a study examining the impact of binge-watching behavior on Generation Z's cognition, behavior, identity, and worldview, particularly in the context of the rise of Over-The-Top (OTT) streaming platforms. Conducted with 90 participants, the research utilized a custom survey to assess various mindset dimensions, revealing that increased binge-watching hours correlated positively with significant shifts in behavioral and identity-related aspects. The findings suggest important psychological implications of binge culture for young adults and raise questions about its long-term effects. The study is based on a preprint and has not undergone peer review. [Extracted from the article]
