Abstract

"Afterimage" Volume 51, number 4 explores themes of colonialism, technology, and community through various essays and articles. The issue delves into the impact of digital interfaces on user behavior and identity, the immersive experience of data composition in audiovisual installations, and the racialized sexuality depicted in historical photographs of Chinatown. Additionally, reviews of recent media arts productions and a dossier on contemporary Black Brazilian cinema are included. The next edition will focus on the "Aesthetic of Perplexity," and submissions for scholarly articles and other content are welcomed. [Extracted from the article]
