Abstract
Elon Musk made an appearance at the Cannes Lions conference in France in an effort to repair his strained relationship with the advertising industry. During an interview with Mark Read, CEO of a major advertising agency, Musk addressed his previous outburst against the industry, explaining that he was referring to a subset of advertisers who were trying to limit free speech. Musk emphasized that the platform has made progress in becoming a safer place for brands and that advertisers have the right to choose content compatible with their brands. Musk's behavior and the platform's content restrictions have caused unease among marketers. X, Musk's company, has seen a drop in advertising revenue since his arrival, but he has also been working to diversify the company's business away from advertising. [Extracted from the article]
