Abstract

The article discusses the dilemma presented by name changes after marriage for Maryland attorneys. Topics include percentage of women in opposite sex marriages ages 18 to 40 who say they kept their last name, compared with 9 percent of those ages 50 and older according to the PEW Research Center, the name that should be used by an attorney according to the Rules of Professional Conduct, and considerations for Maryland attorneys.
