Abstract
The article focuses on a study examining the emotional-semantic responses of audiences to P.N. Fomenko's theatrical play "An Absolutely Happy Village." Conducted with 50 participants, predominantly female and well-educated, the research utilized L.S. Vygotsky's aesthetic response framework and included methods such as comparative analysis and custom questionnaires. Findings indicate that audience engagement is influenced by a conflict between feelings of wellbeing and distress, as well as social acceptance and rejection, shaped by the director's narrative techniques. The study highlights the complex emotional experiences elicited by theatrical performances, contributing to the understanding of art perception in psychology. [Extracted from the article]
