Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted in Nanjing, People's Republic of China, examining the adaptation of international students in the context of culture shock. Researchers from Hohai University utilized Social Identity Theory and Identity Consolidation Theory to explore how a strong sense of identity influences psychological resilience, which in turn affects college adjustment. The study surveyed 2,097 international students and found that a well-defined identity significantly enhances psychological resilience, aiding students in navigating cultural challenges. The findings suggest implications for developing support programs to improve the well-being and integration of international students in China. [Extracted from the article]
