Abstract
Carol Sterling is a respected puppet educator and advocate for the use of puppets in public education. With decades of experience in pedagogy and curriculum development, she has worked with students of all ages and mentored professional puppeteers. Sterling emphasizes the process of puppetry and its ability to teach various subjects and life skills, rather than focusing solely on the final performance. She has also played a role in establishing national content standards for the arts in public education and has received recognition for her work, including awards from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and UNIMA-USA. Even in retirement, Sterling remains active in the field and is highly regarded as a puppet educator. [Extracted from the article]
