Abstract

This article analyzes peer-reviewed research published from 2011 to 2021 in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) scholarly journals, Radiologic Technology and Radiation Therapist, focusing on types of research, authorship collaboration, and education levels of contributors. Over 11 years, 217 articles were published, predominantly original research (70%), with most articles authored by two or more individuals, reflecting strong collaborative efforts. Among 635 authors, the majority held doctoral (38.9%) or master's degrees (33.4%), and five top producers—authors with five or more publications—demonstrated high engagement through a mean authorship index of 95.5, with most collaborating regularly. The study suggests that mentorship and collaborative practices could further enhance research productivity and knowledge advancement in the medical imaging and radiation therapy professions.
