Abstract

This article discusses the importance of effective communication with people, emphasizing that while generative AI can provide valuable information, it should not replace the insights and knowledge of employees, partners, and customers. The article highlights the example of Satoru Iwata, the former CEO of Nintendo, who conducted extensive interviews with stakeholders to gather insights and drive the organization forward. The author provides practical advice on how to structure prompts, utilize reflective probing, convey empathy and humility, harness humor and emotions, acknowledge challenges, and be a good listener when engaging with stakeholders. The article concludes by emphasizing the value of gathering key information from stakeholders that generative AI cannot provide. [Extracted from the article]
