Abstract

A recent report discusses the effects of dhikr spiritual meditation on the recovery of drug abusers. The study, conducted by researchers from the University of Malaysia Sabah, aimed to explore the implications of dhikr meditation on the well-being and life of people with drug addiction based on their experiences. The findings revealed that consistent practice of dhikr meditation had a positive impact on the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects of people recovering from drug addiction. The researchers suggest that healthcare professionals and counselors should consider individuals' beliefs, values, culture, and spiritual paradigm when developing holistic strategies for drug addiction therapy.
