Abstract
The article focuses on the impacts of climate change on human health and the practice of naturopathy and herbal medicine. It highlights how climate change affects patient health through conditions like heat stress and psychological distress, while also disrupting the ecological foundations of herbal medicines by altering plant growth, quality, and availability. The editorial emphasizes the need for a pragmatic, evidence-based clinical and research response that integrates environmental data and whole-systems thinking to support practitioner readiness and patient care. Additionally, it introduces four research articles illustrating naturopathic approaches to musculoskeletal conditions and the influence of climate on medicinal plants and chronic diseases such as diabetes.
