Abstract
Daily multivitamin supplementation was associated with modest slowing of biological aging markers in older adults over a 2-year period, according to findings from an ancillary analysis of the COcoa Supplement and Multivitamin Outcomes Study (COSMOS) published in Nature Medicine. The randomized clinical trial analysis evaluated DNA methylation–based epigenetic clocks to assess whether multivitamin–multimineral (MVM) supplementation or cocoa flavanol supplementation influenced the pace of biological aging.
