Abstract
The article focuses on Samuel Hahnemann's evolving spiritual and philosophical views on disease, vital force, and homoeopathy during his later years. It highlights his conceptual shift toward understanding diseases as immaterial, dynamic, and spirit-like derangements of a vital force (Lebenskraft), which he regarded as a life-sustaining, self-healing energy distinct from purely material causes. Hahnemann increasingly used terms such as Lebenskraft (life force), dynamische (dynamic force), and Geist (spirit) to describe the nature of health, sickness, remedies, and miasms, aligning his ideas with earlier vitalist and metaphysical traditions rather than materialist explanations. The article also discusses Hahnemann's interest in Mesmerism and invisible healing forces, situating his thought within a broader historical context of occult and dynamic philosophies of nature. Ultimately, it portrays Hahnemann as a spiritual thinker who viewed living beings as composed of both material and immaterial elements, with healing processes involving the interaction of these spiritual forces.
