Abstract
The article focuses on two clinical studies evaluating treatments for dermatological conditions. The first study assessed the efficacy and safety of a single oral dose of ivermectin (250 µg/kg) in 45 patients with rosacea, finding significant improvement in symptoms and a reduction in Demodex mite counts, which correlated with patient satisfaction. The second study compared topical Minoxidil 5% alone versus its combination with either oral Dutasteride (0.5 mg) or topical Dutasteride (0.02%) applied via microneedling in 30 patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Results indicated that combined treatments, especially topical Dutasteride with microneedling, yielded greater improvements in hair density and width with fewer systemic side effects than oral Dutasteride, though with potentially more side effects overall. Both studies concluded that the investigated therapies are effective and safe options for their respective conditions.
