Abstract

The article discusses a study assessing the effects of aromatherapy massage on sleep quality and mental health in breast cancer survivors undergoing chemotherapy. Conducted in Shandong, People's Republic of China, the randomized, placebo-controlled trial involved 96 participants who were divided into an intervention group receiving lavender aromatherapy and a placebo group receiving sweet almond oil massage. Results indicated significant improvements in sleep quality, anxiety, and pain response for the intervention group, while no significant differences were found in depression and cognitive function scores.
