Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to describe a hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis technique that has been useful for a variety of complaints for which the client has taken or is taking pills or medication. Asthma attacks, chronic headaches, insomnia have all been treated successfully using this technique. The understanding of this technique (and perhaps others as well) has been hindered by asking the wrong question: How does the imaginary pill technique work to stop headaches, asthma attacks, etc.? A new question in a different frame cleared up some of the mystery: Are "real pills" any more or any less magical than imaginary pills? [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
