Abstract
This article focuses on a complex case of chronic spontaneous urticaria with angioedema in an 11-year-old female patient with Type 1 diabetes and no prior allergy history. Despite extensive treatment including multiple antihistamines, corticosteroids, omalizumab (an anti-IgE monoclonal antibody), ciclosporin, and methotrexate, the patient's symptoms remained difficult to control. The case highlights the challenges in managing severe pediatric urticaria and outlines potential systemic treatment options such as mycophenolate mofetil and higher-dose omalizumab. The report underscores the need for individualized, multidisciplinary approaches in refractory urticaria cases.
