How Companies Can Build Trustworthy AI Assistants.

Abstract

This article focuses on development of trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI) assistants for business use. The article details the evolution of AI assistants from assistant to concierge to agent with a description of each. Next, the risks of AI assistants-- including poor data quality and responsibility gaps--are examined. Finally, a discussion on precautions for trustworthy agents-- including automated backstops and robust restrictions and permissions--are presented.
