Abstract

The article focuses on pioneers of computing, including Charles Babbage, who invented the Difference Engine and the Analytical Engine; Konrad Zuse, a German innovator, developed the first program-controlled computer during WWII; and Douglas Engelbart contributed to modern computer usage with the graphical user interface (GUI) and the mouse.
