Abstract
The article critiques Microsoft’s approach to charity through its Bing search engine, highlighting the limitations of its rewards system that requires users to accumulate 1,000 points to donate £1 to charities, which can be difficult for many users to achieve. It also addresses the use of jargon by companies, exemplified by a description of "Frontier Firms" that obscures rather than clarifies their operations. Additionally, the article discusses the sentencing of Kwabena Edusei and four accomplices for defrauding nearly 100 victims out of £2.3 million through dating scams, emphasizing the emotional manipulation involved in their crimes.
