Abstract

Kioxia has launched the EXCERIA BASIC SSD Series, a new line of client NVMe solid-state drives designed for users seeking an upgrade from SATA and older PCIe 3.0 storage without high costs. Announced on November 12, 2025, these drives feature PCIe 4.0 performance with capacities up to 2TB, offering sequential read speeds of up to 7,300 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,800 MB/s. The single-sided design enhances compatibility with thinner notebooks and compact PCs, making them suitable for everyday tasks and modernizing older systems. Kioxia anticipates the series will be available in various regions by late 2025, aiming to provide consistent performance at accessible price points amidst fluctuating flash pricing.
