Abstract
The article discusses Cambium Networks' new capability within its Network Service Edge (NSE) platform, which addresses the limitations posed by carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT) in remote sites relying on low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite or cellular broadband. By enabling service providers to assign static public IP addresses over encrypted WireGuard tunnels, Cambium aims to facilitate remote visibility, secure access, and device management for various applications, including retail and industrial monitoring. This solution allows service providers to maintain control over traffic routing while offering enhanced managed services, such as SD-WAN and security features, to meet the needs of customers in sectors like healthcare and education. The architecture is designed to support competitive differentiation for managed service providers (MSPs) and regional ISPs as reliance on satellite and cellular connections increases.
