Abstract
This article provides an overview of the litigation that has emerged in the European Union (EU) following the implementation of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) and the Digital Services Act (DSA). The DMA aims to create a fairer and more competitive digital sector, while the DSA regulates the content of online intermediaries and platforms. Litigation has already begun at both the European and national levels, involving gatekeepers, consumers, and competitors. The article also discusses the challenges faced by gatekeepers, such as Meta, Apple, and Alphabet, in complying with the regulations, as well as potential areas of contention and non-compliance that may lead to litigation. It suggests that long-term regulatory dialogue, third-party engagement, and the development of guidelines could be potential solutions to minimize litigation. [Extracted from the article]
