Abstract

CityFibre has launched its wholesale full-fiber network in Hull and the East Riding region, signing up over thirty broadband providers from the outset. This initiative, which follows CityFibre's acquisition of Connexin's infrastructure, enables around 80,000 premises to access gigabit-class internet services through its 10 Gb-capable XGS-PON network. The deployment aims to enhance competition among internet service providers (ISPs) and improve connectivity options for local households and businesses, potentially stimulating economic growth and attracting new enterprises. CityFibre's model allows ISPs to offer varied services while maintaining a focus on customer service and innovation. [Extracted from the article]
