The article focuses on the challenges and implications of the Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System (CFCFRMS), a PoliceTech platform launched by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre and the Ministry of Home Affairs to combat digital financial fraud in India. While the portal facilitates coordination among law enforcement, banks, and financial intermediaries to freeze fraudulent transactions quickly, judicial cases reveal concerns about due process violations, including unilateral freezing and transfer of funds from innocent citizens' accounts without trial or notice.
