Abstract

Netflix has expanded its deal with Comcast's NBCUniversal to include streaming rights for live-action films from Universal Pictures and Focus Features, starting in 2027. This agreement will allow Netflix to stream popular franchises like Fast & Furious and Jurassic Park no later than eight months after their theatrical release. Additionally, Netflix will have the option to license older titles from Universal's library as part of the deal. This move reflects a trend among entertainment companies to monetize their content by sharing it with multiple streaming platforms rather than keeping it exclusive. [Extracted from the article]
