Abstract
The article investigates Zimbabwean farmers' awareness and knowledge of cybercrime amid increasing digital reliance in agriculture. Using questionnaires distributed to farmers in Bulawayo, the study found that 77% had never heard of cybercrime, with 81% unaware of cyber risks related to online transactions and 90% unable to recognize online scams. The findings highlight a significant information gap, indicating an urgent need for targeted cybersecurity education and awareness campaigns to protect farmers from financial fraud, phishing, and other cyber threats. The study situates these concerns within Zimbabwe's broader ICT development goals and rising cybercrime challenges affecting national security and economic sectors.
