B Areas: b DOS said the project proposes to create a "CyberSmart Generation" through a digital media literacy training program for youth (aged 16 to 25) in Kolkata, and some suburbs of West Bengal. CyberSmart should help youth participants develop critical thinking skills, provide tools, and generate awareness about their cyber footprint and privacy, develop competencies to deal with online safety issues such as hacking and bullying, and become responsible digital content creators and users. B Scope: b The State Department's U.S. Consulate in Kolkata seeks applications for the Be Cybersmart announcement to carry out a program to empower young women leaders from Bengali vernacular high schools and colleges to become cyber-smart to combat digital media misinformation.
