Abstract
The article focuses on research conducted in Hunan, People's Republic of China, examining the effects of visual and olfactory stimuli on human psychological perception and physiological indicators in indoor environments. The study involved 24 subjects exposed to different visual settings, including artificial windows with varying greenness, and olfactory conditions, such as odorless air and peppermint scent, at various temperatures. Findings indicate that artificial windows improve psychological and physiological responses, with peppermint scent enhancing these effects and alleviating symptoms of Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). The research highlights the importance of multi-sensory interactions in creating healthier indoor environments and provides insights for indoor environment control strategies.
