Abstract

The article focuses on research conducted in Hokkaido, Japan, regarding Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) and Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). The study, involving 92,387 pregnant women and their partners, aimed to explore the associations between demographic factors, lifestyle, comorbidities, and these conditions. Findings indicated that allergic diseases, psychiatric disorders, and higher psychological distress were linked to increased odds of SBS and MCS. The research emphasizes the importance for clinicians to consider these comorbidities and lifestyle factors when treating affected patients. [Extracted from the article]
