Abstract

This article focuses on a case report of angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia (ALHE), a rare benign vasoproliferative disease, occurring in association with stasis dermatitis of the left lower extremity. The patient, a 45-year-old man, presented with a solitary nodule on an erythematous patch, and histopathological and immunohistochemical analyses confirmed ALHE. The authors discuss the potential reactive versus neoplastic nature of ALHE, proposing that chronic inflammation and hypoxia in stasis dermatitis may contribute to ALHE development. This case highlights the importance of considering ALHE in the differential diagnosis of stasis dermatitis complications and suggests a possible reactive pathogenesis.
