Abstract
This article focuses on a continuing nursing education (CNE) activity examining how creative art activities support student nurses' spiritual self-exploration, holistic care understanding, and spiritual growth within a Mercy and Jesuit values-based nursing program. The study involved students creating individual and group art projects linked to service learning and holistic nursing, with findings indicating that arts-based learning facilitates the integration of spirituality and core holistic nursing values into nursing practice. The activity emphasizes applying holistic nursing as an attitude and philosophy that incorporates self-care, spirituality, and reflection, supported by Humanistic Theory and qualitative research methods. It also highlights the potential for arts-based approaches to foster empathy, compassion, and well-being among nurses, with applicability beyond religious-based educational settings.
