Abstract
Moreover, LA strain proved to be associated with AF occurrence and to be progressively more impaired in patients with mitral regurgitation (MR) and repeated episodes of paroxysmal AF and was also associated with the development of postoperative AF in patients undergoing mitral valve surgery [[2]]. Left atrial longitudinal strain parameters predict postoperative persistent atrial fibrillation following mitral valve surgery: a speckle tracking echocardiography study.
