Abstract

The article discusses research on Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR), a sensory-emotional phenomenon that may enhance cognitive and physiological functions. Conducted by researchers at Korea University Anam Hospital in Seoul, South Korea, the study involved 20 healthy adults who were exposed to ASMR stimuli while their cognitive performance and physiological responses were monitored. Results indicated significant cognitive improvements post-stimulation, with enhanced neural connectivity and increased parasympathetic activity observed through electroencephalography (EEG) and heart rate variability (HRV) measures.
