Abstract

This article focuses on the impact of nursing guidance on recovery and hospitalization duration in pediatric acute gastroenteritis. A retrospective study of 94 hospitalized children found that increased nursing communication and dietary supervision provided to guardians correlated significantly with shorter hospital stays and improved symptom relief. The study highlights the role of nursing staff in educating families about appropriate dietary and nutritional care to promote recovery and reduce complications. Limitations include the retrospective design, small sample size, and lack of long-term follow-up, suggesting the need for larger prospective studies to confirm these findings. The results underscore the importance of effective nurse-family communication in pediatric disease management and recovery.
