Abstract
The article focuses on the formation of a Healthcare Advisory Committee by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to improve care financing and delivery across federal insurance programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and the Health Insurance Marketplace. The committee aims to enhance cost efficiency, equity, access, and quality of care, with particular attention to chronic disease management and vulnerable populations, including cancer patients. Nursing perspectives, especially from oncology nurses, are emphasized as essential to the committee's work, and nominations for experts in relevant fields are being accepted through September 22, 2025. The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) is actively identifying oncology nurse candidates to contribute to this advisory effort.
